The Secret Garden

Mar 13 - Mar 22, 2020

We are sad to announce that the Washougal School District has reached a decision to cancel all facility activities for this weekend, which means this weekend’s performances of The Secret Garden are cancelled.

We will let patrons know via email about any adjustments for next weekend. If you would like to transfer your tickets from this weekend to next, we have limited availability to do that. Please contact the office via email, not phone. And thank you in advance for your patience.

Options for ticket holders:

Credit for a future show: We would be happy to apply your purchase to tickets for our other spring shows, Singing in the RainPride and Prejudice & Much Ado About Nothing.

Donate your ticket: As a nonprofit, Journey programming is funded largely on income from its events. Please consider donating your ticket purchase to continue to keep opportunities like this available for kids and families.

Refund: In light of these unique circumstances, we are temporarily suspending our standing “no refund” policy. Due to volume of emails and for very real financial considerations, please allow for up to 90 days for us to process any refunds.

For any of these requests, please email us at office@journeytheater.org for the most expedient processing of your request. Phone calls to our office (360-750-8550) may experience a longer wait time or have to go to voicemail. We appreciate your patience during this time.

This enchanting classic of children’s literature is reimagined in brilliant musical style by composer Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of ‘Night Mother. Orphaned in India, 11 year-old Mary Lennox returns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his invalid son Colin. The estate’s many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and the “Dreamers”, spirits from Mary’s past who guide her through her new life, dramatizing The Secret Garden‘s compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.
