Written in 1900, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum has been called “America’s greatest and best-loved homegrown fairytale” and has inspired several Broadway musicals and the famous 1939 movie starring Judy Garland.
We are going to take this classic novel and put it in the recently revived medium of the audio play. Once popular on the radio, podcasting has given new life to this voice-only storytelling format. This show will be recorded before a live audience (as Covid restrictions allow) with the actors creating sound effects in real time and broadcast on the Journey YouTube Channel. This is a great opportunity to work on your voice acting skills while still performing live. Cast Size: 10-15 (for ages 8-18). Crew positions: Stage Manager, Sound Assistant/Foley Effects. Crew Form
