Seussical Kids – Musical Theater Camp for 7-12 year olds
9am to 3pm each day. Showcase at 3pm on Friday.

June 27-July 1 at Trinity Lutheran 309 W 39th St, Vancouver.
August 1-5 at Cascade Park Baptist Church 1201 SE 136th Ave, Vancouver.

The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speak of dust containing tiny people called the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child, who gets in trouble for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton’s challenge is twofold – not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!

Songs include: Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!, Horton Hears a Who, Here on Who, It’s Possible, Alone in the Universe, The One Feather Tail of Miss Gertrude McFuzz, Monkey Around/Chasing the Whos, Horton Sits on the Egg, Solla Sollew, The Whos Return, Yopp! and Green Eggs and Ham.

Currently an undergraduate student at Oregon State University, Kelsey is absolutely thrilled to be spending her summer working at Journey camps! She is so grateful for all of the amazing memories from her time as a student in Journey and is really excited to see others form great memories and friendships at camps this summer as well!

Karina May – Kids Camp Vocal Instructor

Karina May is currently a student at WIllamette University, and is so excited to be returning this year to teach at camps! Karina started off doing theater in a Journey camp over a decade ago, and it is safe to say the impact it has made on her life has been enormous, as she is currently studying both music and theater. Camps have always been the highlight of her year, both as a student and a teacher. Her favorite thing is to watch kids explode out of their shells as they grow so much over just one week.
