Rise to the challenge in this unique opportunity. Bring a whole show to life in just 5 days! Join our fantastic Artistic Team for a week of acting, singing, dancing, and fun as you work together go from casting on Monday to performances on Friday!
Campers interested in principal and featured roles will submit an audition video. Details will be emailed to registered campers.
If you are a teen who does not wish to attend camp, but would be interested in stage managing, please fill out this application for the volunteer Stage Manager for this week.
We are also in need of a few volunteer crew members to help make the magic happen. If you are between the ages of 12-18 and interested in helping on Thursday and Friday of camp week, please fill out this form.

Discounts:
Early Registration Discount:Register by May 1st and receive a $15 discount.
New Family Discount: Families enrolling a student for the first time are eligible for a discount for $25 off the total cost of registration. Enter the code FIRSTJOURNEY when registering online. This discount is given once per family.
Sibling Discount: Any family that enrolls more than one child in Journey for the same session of camps will receive $10 off for every child enrolled. Note that this discount is given once per child.
Multiple Registrations Discount: Any child who is enrolled in more than one Journey camp per session will receive $10 off every class enrolled after the first.
Sibling and Multiple Registration Discounts cannot be combined.
Age Policy – All students must meet the designated age requirement within the session for which they have enrolled. For example, a child must turn 8 by the end of the session to participate in an 8–12/18 year old class and audition for the show. Summer Session: June 22rd – August 31st.
Refunds for camp payments must be requested at least two weeks before the first day of the camp in which a student is registered.
A $50 processing fee will be charged.
Beka Hardt – Director
Beka has directed over 20 shows and taught numerous classes during the lifetime span of Journey Theater. She was Journey’s founding Artistic Director, helping launch the program in 2002. After her time there, she spent seven years on the road as a Road Manager for a Christian rock band.
Currently, Beka is the Senior Media Strategy Manager at GTMA, a digital marketing agency. Her company relocated from Los Angeles to Vancouver, WA, bringing her back to Journey Theater to direct again.
In her free time, she enjoys creating sketch videos and watching the Chicago Bears. Basically, Beka finds joy in anything involving an audience, especially her audience of one (the Lord)!

Chelsea Nicole Pitel – Choreographer
Chelsea is an award-winning choreographer from San Diego who recently relocated to Vancouver. Having grown up in the theatre world since age 4, Chelsea has performed in over 80 shows and tour groups, and at the age of 14 began choreographing and teaching dance classes for a national children’s theatre company. Since 2007, Chelsea has choreographed both professional and non-professional shows all over the United States, as well as Uganda. Her training includes places like Broadway Dance Center in NYC and Academy of Performing Arts in San Diego, she is also an alumnus of the Pulse Teacher Workshop and the Stage Door Connections Workshop with Andy Blankenbuehler. Chelsea is a recipient of the Portland Area Musical Theatre Award, Inland Theatre League, National Youth Arts, and Director’s Choice Award.
